22^nd Anniversary Open House and Celebration

of the Americans with Disabilities Act

The staff of DisAbility Partners Center for Independent Living invites everyone to visit between 2pm and 4pm on Thursday, July 26, 2012 for an open house and celebration of the 22^nd Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The event will be held at DisAbility Partners, 108 New Leicester Highway – just across from the Hot Spot convenience store.

DisAbility Partners staff invites asks you to stop in to learn more about Centers for Independent Living, the Americans with Disabilities Act and services available in Western North Carolina. Invited guests include city officials & state representatives, Veterans, staff from ABCCM and the Vets Quarters, various press/media, other non-profits, local/state agencies and service providers for persons with disabilities.

DisAbility Partners is a non-profit organization that advocates with and for persons with disabilities of all types. All services are provided free of charge.  The four core services include Advocacy, Information & Referral, Peer Counseling and Independent Living Skills.  Other services include the ever-growing CyberPals Computer Program and Nursing Home Transitions. DisAbility Partners serves Buncombe, Henderson, Madison, McDowell, Polk, Rutherford and Transylvania Counties. The office in Sylva serves Cherokee, Clay, Graham, Haywood, Jackson, Macon and Swain Counties. There are also offices in Andrews and Waynesville, North Carolina.
